Excuses have killed many dreams. What is stopping you?

In his book, The Magic of Thinking Big, David J. Schwartz, presented a story of a soldier who lost one of his arms on the battlefield and returned home. Instead of thinking about his failure and being disabled, he started to do great things.

This is what touched me.

David asked him what’s the motivation behind these great things after losing your arm on the battlefield?

His response will shock you! It just changed my perspective.

“Well, it’s just an arm. I still have one. And if I am that lucky to still have it, I might as well use it”

Just wow!!!!!!!! Did you hear him say “it’s just an arm”? Wow!!! This is thinking above your problem.

Many of us have two hands; yet, we complained of everything and anything. You still have two arms. Get up and good great things

Being broke now doesn’t define you. What defines you is what you see beyond that situation you are faced with today.

If you don’t believe you can do something, it's going to be hard to achieve it. People who think this way will always look for ways that will support their subconscious minds. I can't do it!

Are you the one I'm referring to?

Get to know this: what you feed your subconscious mind with, it's the output you will get in return. If the subconscious mind is fed by many reasons why you can't do it (negative thoughts), get ready to do negative things without regret.

Never limit yourself. Believe in yourself, always think big and take action smartly...

Admitting mistake doesn’t destroy leaders. Consistent lies and defense of wrong actions could be the vehicle for your destruction.

We can only define organizations or governments by the values that are practiced by their employees on a daily basis and nothing more.

I was taught by Dr. Theodore V. K. Brown, Sr, the two types of images every person projects about him/herself in any giving situation and how to use them wisely. They are: the Person and the Personage.

Follow me as I share this amazing lesson with you:

1. The person- is your real self.
Your ability to bring out the person in you. Expressing your feelings straight out and care less about how others think or feel about your action. Saying the truth even if you will be fired from your job and etc.

In his presentation, he mentioned that this is the best image to project about yourself; however, he advised that over using it might cut your life, stop you from succeeding in some circumstances.

Example: there is no way you can express your feeling to a guy who points a gun at your head. You gotta be kidding if you did that.

2. The personage- this image is the fake you. The ability for a person to pretend and project a false image of him/herself. Over using it is even worse than over using the person. Once people notice that you are fake, you will definitely lose being trusted. No one will take you seriously and make you lead any activities.

Where do you find yourself? Which one of the images do you overly use?

To conclude, it is wise to balance the two. There is no one, absolutely no one who doesn't use the two images; but over doing one creates a serious problem in the world we live in.

In short, no one is perfect......

Leaders, watch out for people who say "yes" to anything, everything, or every idea you say or bring forth.

They will always have no problem with any decision made by you. At the back of others, they will criticize those who will stand on the opposite side of your ideas.

Hear this: They don't like you. They want to see you fall...

They are the white liars

Most of the problems in our country are inflicted by white lairs

One of the myths held by Liberians is

“Liberia problem is a system problem”

This statement is lazy and untrue. The system does not run itself; people do.

We, the people, especially our leaders, are our problems. When we have the right people in the right places at the right time, they will ensure that the system adjusts to meet the needs of the country in terms of social, economic, cultural, technological advancements, etc.
