The focus of Philly Self Defense is to provide individuals with concepts and techniques for real life survival and practical self defense. This consists of lifesaving techniques that are easy to learn, easy to remember and easy to replicate. These techniques don't rely on size, strength or athletic ability, making them a perfect fit for all ages including women and children. The goal is to provide real-life survival techniques for Rape Prevention, Awareness, and Self Defense in Philadelphia PA. Dear Philly Self Defense Community,

We hope that this note finds you and your families safe and healthy. It is with a heavy heart that Joe and I have mutually decided as of June 1, 2020 we will be permanently closing our doors here at PSD.

We want to take the time to thank ALL OF YOU—family, friends, students and followers over the past seven years, without you, PSD could not have existed. We have learned so much from all of you, as well as about ourselves.

Over 15 years ago PSD was created to help those who needed it most, with no location and with the hopes of one day having a brick and mortar location. When Joe and I teamed up, we shared a mutual lifelong dream of opening a gym, and with lots of hard work and support, we did so successfully for the last seven years.

But as all things great, we must evolve, and this particular chapter of PSD is unfortunately over, but it is NOT the end of PSD. We WILL CONTINUE to provide our skills and services to those who need it most! This is a difficult time for many of us, and we want to express our gratitude.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions, comments, or requests. We look forward to seeing you in the next chapter of PSD.

PSD family and friends ,

With the announcement of a National and state Emergency as well as the continued increase of infection nationwide and regionally, we will regretfully close until April First for everyones safety.

Foundations 101 Class will be extended to cover the lost time when we return. All memberships will be extended for the duration of time we are closed.

As always, our student safety and well being is of the utmost importance to us and we value everyone in our close knit PSD family.
