A day Without Childcare -

Why did we close the center today? Well, to rally and advocate for childcare providers. To fight for better wages, more resources for our teachers and your children, educational opportunities and equitable access.

Almost fitting that today follows teacher appreciation week, a week full with everyone showing their appreciation by showering educators with love and gifts. If parents, friends, family, and students can see the value in us, so should legislators.

Our hope is that in the future every child has access to high-quality, affordable child care, where educators are valued and compensated fairly.

Happy Friday and happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

Here are some gifts we received from our parents this year! Gifts during this week is a great way to show your support and love for your teachers.

Teaching is a wonderful skill that provides children with guidance and tools to be academically successful while also teaching them social, emotional, and cognitive skills! We do that by fostering learning to help your child reach their full potential.

Every time we encounter a child our goal is to make sure they leave our facility with the skills they need to succeed. So, when you guys show us love during teacher appreciation week, we know that we are doing our job!

The appreciation goes both ways, we cannot be successful without the help of others. Parents and teachers work together to create a great team, together each child will have the ability to accomplish anything!

Thanks Sis Hadiyyah, Sis Safiyyah, Sis Kareemah, Ms. Dariah, Ms. Kylisha, Ms. Maybelle and Ms. Tiny. It takes a village to run this ship, and I appreciate your contribution to the children in our community.

One thing that we promote is outdoor activities. Sun is known to spark a positive attitude! It also has many health benefits primarily through the production of vitamin D!

Getting outside is crucial for children's physical and mental well-being, fostering creativity, improving cognitive skills, and promoting social and emotional development. Outdoor play helps with physical health, reducing stress and anxiety, and enhances overall mental health!

Whiz Kidz Academy takes your child mental well being very seriously, so we make sure we get rhen outside to help improve their daily moods and provide them with vitamin D!

So proud of our students! We have been learning about the evolution of butterflies! Students can use scientific observation skills through these lessons by observing the full butterfly life cycle!

As you will see throughout our facility we have butterflies throughout, it's our mini exhibit for our students.

Here at Whiz Kidz Academy we encourage reading daily.

Reading with children daily, even just 15-20 minutes, offers significant benefits, including improved language and literacy skills, enhanced cognitive development, and a stronger parent-child bond. It also expands vocabulary, builds comprehension, and fosters a love of reading.
