Children and teens are invited to join me for Sunday morning art class, starting Sunday, January 4!
11:00am - 12:30pm, January 4 - February 1, 5 classes
$100.00, including materials

Our focus will be on making books of all kinds: picture books, story books, manga, and sculptural pop-up books. Artists will get to draw, paint, and make three-dimensional work, with plenty of freedom and support for following their own interests. They will be able to work independently or collaboratively. Our creations will become part of the All Hands Reading Cafe, an installation in Woodmere’s Helen Millard Children’s Gallery this September. You can see more information and register here:

ANNUAL VALENTINE MAKE-IN THIS SUNDAY, 2/10

Drop in any time between 9am and 5pm to make valentines for all the special people in your life! $10/person or $20/family. You can use printmaking, collaging, stamping, drawing, or painting to make cards, pictures, or even small books. Everyone is welcome! You can come as a family, or leave your child. Unaccompanied children six years and up are welcome for up to two hours, younger children can come with a parent or chaperone, and teenagers and adults are invited too. Come have grown-up summer art camp with me!
Here's how it works:
▪ Sessions are from 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm.
▪ Artists are welcome to pack lunch and eat it here if they would like to.
▪ We will begin each session with a check-in about our work plans, and have a group critique at the end.
▪ Artists will get help choosing projects if they don't have them going already.
▪ Artists, including me, will do their own independent artwork during each session.
▪ The cost is $55/day, or $30/morning or afternoon session.

Is your child excited about all the amazing animals on the earth and in his or her imagination? We get to make them! Campers will create drawings, paintings, and large-scale animal sculptures of real or imaginary animals, by sewing or building. We will also look at how artists throughout history have created animals, and use their work to inspire our own.

It's amazing how many of the big art movements we love started in Paris: Impressionist painting, cubism, and all kinds of sculpture. This great sweep of history will inspire our work!

Tweens, teens, and adults are all invited! We’ll be working with drawing and painting the figure, portrait, still life, and landscape, and doing some sculpture, too! Realize your own artistic goals, guided by your interests and the challenges and delights of representation. You can develop a portfolio for Creative and Performing Arts High School or do another body of work in a fun, supportive, inspiring community of artists!
