TECH Freire Charter School

TECH Freire and Freire High students brought the energy (and a little friendly competition) to Puttshack this week!

Nearly all of our senior Experienceship students from TECH Freire and Freire High came together for a hands-on networking event—where they didn’t just learn about networking, they practiced it in real time. From building confidence to making meaningful connections, students showed up ready, and even competed for prizes based on their networking skills.

This experience would not have been possible without the incredible mentors from the Junto 8 group through Leadership PHL, who led small groups and shared their expertise. Thank you to:

TECH Freire students stepped into the future at Temple University’s Engineering Expo last Thursday.

Ten of our 10th and 11th grade students spent the day at Temple’s College of Engineering engaging in live demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and meaningful conversations with industry professionals and faculty. They explored engineering majors, discovered potential career pathways, and built connections with college representatives and peers. The future of STEAM is looking bright!

Freire Schools' Philadelphia campuses will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 24, and students will have a flexible instruction day. Students should check their email for assignments.

Freire High, Freire Middle, and TECH Freire will be closed on Monday, February 23 due to forecasted inclement weather. Please stay safe during your snow day.

Note: We are continuing to monitor the weather, and will have an update for Freire Wilmington tomorrow.

Due to inclement weather, all Freire campuses will operate on a two-hour delay on December 15. Please see your email for mor details and travel safely to school.

Due inclement weather, Freire High, Freire Middle, and TECH Freire will have a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, February 12. However, if snow totals increase overnight, or area roadways become dangerous for our teams and students to safely travel to work, we may need to pivot to a virtual day of instruction. Please check your email in the morning.

All Freire campuses in Philadelphia and Wilmington will operate on a 2-hour delay on Tuesday, January 21st due to road conditions following the winter storm. Stay safe and warm when traveling to school tomorrow for the delayed start.

Due to the anticipated winter storm, the Freire Schools Network and all our schools will be closed on Monday, January 6. Enjoy your snow day and stay safe, Dragons!

Due to the forecasted winter storm, TECH Freire will be closed Tuesday, February 13th.

Due to the anticipated icy and hazardous road conditions, all Freire Philadelphia campuses will have a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, January 17th. Please travel to school safely.

Freire Wilmington's building will be closed, and students will have an asynchronous learning day. Students should check Google Classroom for assignments.
