This week we are learning all about farming and agriculture! We got our hands dirty with a mock-farming activity, planted carrot seeds to take home, used fruits and vegetables to make prints, and created our own paper barns! 🚜🧑‍🌾🥕🫑

We have had so much fun this week exploring nature through art! We painted trees, made pet rocks, made bird houses, and used leaf stencils!

We finished off our pond life theme with turtles and fish! Through reading the rainbow fish and the tortoise and the hare, and creating fish and turtle crafts, we learned about some of the many animals that inhabit our planet’s ponds!

Continuing our pond life theme with frogs, tadpoles, and ducks! We made our own feathered ducks, learned about the frog life cycle, and had a jumping contest!

Hip hop hooray! This week we will be learning all about pond life. We started out by learning about ponds and lily pads!

Happy Mother’s Day from Recess! Today we celebrated all the amazing moms in our lives and made some special Mother’s Day crafts for our kids to bring home! 💗🧑🏼‍🍼

Grow little seed grow! 🌱 This week we planted our own sunflower seeds and decorated pots for them! We learned all about how flowers need sun and water to grow, and now our kids get to watch their very own sunflowers sprout at home! 🌻

Today we explored the beautiful colors that we can find in nature by painting rainbows and creating our own paper flowers! 🌈💐

Finished off our week of learning about some of the slowest animals in the world with some sloth and jelly fish crafts! Looking forward to speeding things up next week with some of the fastest animals around 👀
