Twenty-six years ago, I felt lost and wasn’t sure who I was as an artist. Then I found The Artist Inside by Tom Crockett, and its creative process helped me discover a part of myself I didn’t know was waiting to emerge.

Lately I’ve realized I’m standing at another crossroads. So instead of searching for something new, I’m returning to the place where I first learned to listen to my creative spirit.

This time, I’m not looking for the artist I used to be. I’m searching for the artist I’ve been quietly becoming all these years.

Here’s to another journey of self-discovery, hidden worlds, and creating from the deepest, truest part of myself.

“I’m not trying to become a better artist. I’m trying to become more fully myself, trusting that my best art will naturally follow.”

This is the year! My heart whispered and I listened. Surface Pattern Design knocked on my door again. 2nd go around to bring my art into the world with . First finished mood board and motifs a plenty. Follow my journey.

30 day creative exploration challenge, prompt #2, inspired by the “Singing Towers” from Dr Who. I don’t usually use oil crayons or pastel paper, but here they both work. I got a fun texture and blending that I may try again.
