This is a reminder that, in order to ensure a safe school environment, all students and guests are required to go through our metal detectors.

If a student or guest does not clear the scan, they cannot enter the building. Students who do not clear the scan will have their parent/guardian contacted and be sent home.

We are proud to celebrate Olney senior Edsenly Saint Juste. He is a part of our Computer Science Major at Olney High School and was just selected for admission to the National Education Network Honor Society.

Edsenly took Cloud Computing (a dual-enrollment college course offered by NEON) last year and performed in the top 20% of all students nationwide. Edsenly plans to sit for the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification exam in a few weeks.

Edsenly also participated in the iCamp Media Academy at West Chester University this past summer. He is currently participating in We Love Philly’s Cybersecurity pre-apprenticeship.

KEY MORNING SCHEDULES

8:15 a.m. - Doors opening: Enter directly when you arrive! Avoid staying outside so you don’t miss the bell.

8:45 a.m. - The class begins: Take a seat and get ready to learn.

Important note: Any student who enters after 8:45 a.m. will be registered as LATE!

Good morning families! Happy first day back! This is just a reminder that great attendance starts on day one!!!

If your student is absent, please make sure an absent note is brought to school or emailed directly to me! It is crucial absent notes are brought in to avoid truancy phone calls/paperwork.

Below is a list of valid reasons for students to miss school. Please note: we can only accept up to 8 parent/guardian written notes PER SCHOOL YEAR. We accept unlimited amount of doctor/urgent care notes.

We hope to see your student each an everyday! Please reach out to me via email if you have any questions or concerns regarding this School District of Philadelphia policy.
