Hello very talented singers and voice teachers, my name is Dr. Jen Donnell I want to welcome you to Singing in Color where we are enhancing the artistic development of early career singers through personality-based performance principles and Myers-Briggs Type awareness!
Personality differences "color" who we are as people and as artists. Ever wonder why.... some are more talkative than others, more convincing in their portrayal of a character than other, why some are able to build interpersonal inroads with conductors, directors and colleagues while others struggle?
The "science" of 'personality and performance' empowers vocal artists to develop personally and professionally by way of their own awareness: of how they communicate, how they think, and make decisions, how they respond to others, even with respect to how they make artistic decisions related to their vocal craft.

After 13 years of experience as a human resources leader I realized that if personality type awareness could help business executives….. then it could also help singers to be more effective in studio and on stage.
