🎬 I’m grateful to share that Changing Course has been nominated for a 2026 Mid-Atlantic Emmy® in the Documentary category!

Seeing the young people from our 2nd Chance Barber Program on screen at the screening brought me to tears. This film tells a story about Philadelphia’s youth diversion initiative, and it means so much to see our students and their work recognized.

A heartfelt shout-out to director Shuja Moore, producer Gianna Brown, director of photography Taj Devore-Bey, executive producers Aleks Martray and Kris Mendoza, and editor Maria Cantu. We welcome students who are working with Pennsylvania’s Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR). If you’re interested in barber training, ask your OVR counselor whether our program can be included in your individual employment plan.

Need to connect with OVR? Philadelphia residents can call 215-560-1900 or visit pacareerlink.pa.gov to start a referral.
