We are so proud of faculty member, Natasha Evans from our Nutrition and Dietetics program for successfully hosting the first-ever JeffersonLEADS event focused on the Intentionality! This event provided a meaningful opportunity for students to strengthen their leadership skills. Based on participant feedback, 96% reported being extremely satisfied with the experience. New Faculty Publication Alert:
JCHP is excited to share a new publication that was co-authored by DHSc/PhD faculty member, Bernadette A. Fausto, PhD. This was an international collaboration of fellow researchers affiliated with the Alzheimer’s Association International Society to Advance Alzheimer’s Research and Therapy (ISTAART) Subjective Cognitive Decline and Diversity & Disparities Professional Interest Areas.

This paper examined how culture, race, ethnicity, socioeconomic factors, s*x, gender identity, s*xual orientation, and other aspects of diversity shape the experience and reporting of subjective cognitive decline (SCD), an important potential early marker of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. By synthesizing evidence from diverse populations around the world, it highlighted the need for more inclusive research to improve our understanding of cognitive health and ensure that early detection approaches are relevant and equitable across different communities.

Congratulations to a talented medical imaging and radiation sciences student, Nhi Nguyen! She entered a design scholarship contest hosted by the Pennsylvania Association for Sonographers. Asano is a co-curricular enrichment program that rewards sustained engagement in arts and humanities activities throughout the academic year.

Complete the certificate by March 30, 2027, by attending eight (8) Jefferson Humanities & Health events and completing a reflection portfolio of four (4) reflection prompts.
