Recently we had an Oliver Herring-inspired Task Party in Aesthetics and Art Criticism where the students completed randomly-drawn creative nonsense tasks. The students were able to apply conceptual play strategies that they learned during the semester to this fun and beneficial learning experience. Check out some of our inventive and interesting creations!

Pennsylvania recently approved a stipend to support teacher candidates during their 12-week student teaching placements. The stipend is worth $10,000 with an additional $5,000 offered to those who are at a school with teacher shortages. This is an amazing opportunity, but it is a first come, first serve program so eligible students will want to apply early. Graduation is just around the corner! With the ceremony taking place on May 16th, we are 31 days away! Those who are graduating will need to make sure they are prepared for the ceremony. For returning students, the last day of classes is May 10th, with the dorms closing for the summer on the following day, May 11th. Please keep these dates in mind when planning for the end of the semester.

Come join us on May 10th for the Student Teacher Art Exhibition! Student teachers Jaeden Taylor, Jessica Cantone, and Kathleen Whalen will be showcasing some of the amazing artwork their students created during their teaching journey. There will be engaging conversations about teaching and light refreshments so you won’t want to miss it!
