EARLY MUSIC SERIES | philalandmarks Philadelphia is the home of numerous world-class early music ensembles. Performances in the lovingly restored PhilaLandmarks houses provide the perfect opportunity to hear and get to know these creative musicians.

It is nice to be vaccinated and feel free to teach my students in person. It is even nicer when two, not one, of my students yesterday informed me that they had been vaccinated!

Teaching hybrid and alternating in-person and online has its challenges, for sure. But I’m always happy to provide what I can to the students

After more than a year of teaching exclusively online and now teaching both in-person and online I can say that it has really expanded my teaching techniques in a lot of ways. After a year of working diligently online I can say that all students have really developed well as musicians, all have become Much more self-reliant about keeping a pulse and playing all notes with proper intonation. Seeing students for the first time in person has been very refreshing. Teaching violin technique online still is very tricky, even with excellent students. Having the option to teach a student online though, their car is broken, or it’s raining heavily, is a nice option just in case.
