Congratulations, Ms. Lampley! 🎉

Last week’s Spotlight on EXCELLENCE shines brightly on Ms. Lampley for her intentional use of student goal setting and her ability to connect student data directly to student achievement and growth.

Ms. Lampley is empowering students to understand where they are, where they are going, and what they need to do to get there. By using data to establish meaningful goals and monitor progress, she is helping students take ownership of their learning and celebrate their growth.

This is what EXCELLENCE is the Standard looks like—intentional instruction, student ownership, and data-driven growth!

We are excited to announce Ms. Pollard as our Learning Targets & Success Criteria Champion! 🏆🐯

🎯 Learning Target: A clear, student-friendly statement that tells students what they are expected to learn during the lesson.

✅ Success Criteria: The specific evidence or “look-fors” that help students understand how they will know they have successfully learned it.

Together, learning targets and success criteria help students take ownership of their learning and allow teachers to provide intentional, focused instruction and feedback.

At Westview Elementary, Excellence is the Standard, and Ms. Pollard is helping us raise the standard every day!
