Dear Heritage Families,
Welcome to the 2026–27 school year!
As we celebrate the 31st anniversary of The Heritage School, I am excited to begin another year of learning, growth, and partnership with our incredible students, families, and staff. Together, we remain committed to our mission of "ensuring that every student reaches their highest potential through engaging, rigorous instruction, a safe and caring environment, and strong partnerships between staff, parents, and students. It is this shared commitment that continues the Heritage tradition of academic excellence and strong character."

To help families prepare for the new year, grade-level school supply lists and our student dress code are available on our website. Please remember that school supplies are requested rather than required, and students will have a few days after school begins before they will need them.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone at Back to School Night on Wednesday, August 12, from 4:30–6:30 p.m. You will be able to view your child's teacher through the Aeries Parent Portal a few days before school begins. Please continue to check both Aeries and ClassDojo for important updates. You'll also find introductions to our new staff members and information about grade-level changes in our upcoming August newsletter and on our website.

Our wonderful VIPA partners are already preparing for another great year and will once again provide a free pizza dinner for all Heritage families during Back to School Night! Be sure to stop by the VIPA table to learn about membership and discover ways you can get involved. Please note that VIPA will not be selling disaster packs this year, and additional information about this change will be included in our August newsletter.

Throughout the school year, my goal is to keep our Heritage community informed through regular emails, monthly newsletters, phone messages, ClassDojo, our website, and our page. In the coming weeks, we'll be sharing additional information about our new staff members, upcoming events, VIPA activities, and arrival and dismissal procedures.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of The Heritage School. We are looking forward to another outstanding year and can't wait to welcome everyone back on campus. Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we'll see you soon at Back to School Night!

Happy Fourth of July, Heritage Families!

Wishing you a safe and joyful Independence Day filled with family, friends, and summer fun!

Our school office will be closed throughout the month of July and will reopen on Monday, August 3.

The countdown is on! We are getting so excited for the 3rd Annual "Together We Thrive" Literacy, Arts & Community Resource Fair, and we want to make sure your family has it marked on the calendar!

This isn't just a meeting—it's a full-on community celebration at Serrano High School on Saturday, March 7, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Last week was a short week, made even shorter with the inclement weather day, but it was a good week with our All A's lunch being a highlight for our middle school students who had all A's for the first semester. We are proud of them! Thank you to ASB, Mr. Quinn, Mrs. Brown, and a special thank you to Mrs. Adame who helped put the reward lunch together for our kids and to our parents who donated for the gift bags!

We ended last week with our annual Father/Daughter Dinner and Dance. This year's theme was "Denim and Diamonds" and once again, it was such a beautiful event and forever memories were made. Thank you to everyone who attended and a big thank you to our VIPA Board and volunteer members who helped to make it such a special night!

We are proud of all of our student spellers and their hard work participating in our school wide Spelling Bee. Last night's competition was a wonderful showcase of courage, perseverence, and committment to learning! Congratulations to all of them! Our top three spellers were: #1 Dashi, #2 Macie, #3 Brody!

At Saturday Academy, students enjoyed kindness and Valentine themed activities. They creatively designed canvas artwork that expressed love and kindness, and finished the day by making adorable chalk-painted love penguins.

Join us for our next Saturday Academy on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Please be sure to complete a permission form in advance, as this helps us prepare adequately for all students.

The Great Kindness Challenge Week was quite a week including many acts of kindess, a Builders' Club bowling trip, Outsiders Day, basketball victories, and ended with Crazy Hair Day and an ASB Leadership Conference at Knott's Berry Farm! It's great to be an Eagle!
