First 5 San Bernardino is helping to bring awareness to Child Abuse Prevention by giving away 500 FREE tickets!

Join Children's Fund for the 8th annual "Children are our Future" night at the ballpark. The evening will consist free resources from several local community organizations, games, and a host of other cool activities for the entire family to enjoy.

All tickets will include:
- Entry to the game
- 1 hotdog or popcorn
- 1 soda or water

** Requirements **
Tickets are limited and will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. Additionally:
- Families must be registered by Friday, April 15
- Must have at least one family member 5 years of age or younger
- Tickets are limited to 5 per household

Snowline Community,

I'd like to extend an invitation to attend an upcoming webinar and Facebook Live event: Su***de Prevention 101 for Parents: Recognizing Signs and What to Do. From this free event families will be provided information about su***de prevention, including warning signs, how to have a conversation with their student(s), and actions to take if their student(s) are having suicidal thoughts. Additionally, families will be provided resources to further aid in su***de prevention. This free event is being provided in partnership with the California Department of Education, the California Mental Health Service Authority, the Directing Change Program, and Teen Line. This webinar is being offered in English and Spanish.

A few sobering facts reflecting the CDC's 2019 data:
** Su***de was the 10th leading cause of death overall in the US
** Su***de was the 2nd leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 and 34, and the 4th leading cause among individuals between the ages of 35 and 44.
** There were nearly 2.5 times as many su***des in the US as homicides
