The PSJA ISD Advanced Academics Department provides guidance and support to all K-12 campuses in the district. The main purpose of the Advanced Academics Department and Gifted and Talented program is to provide an enhanced academic environment for students with advanced le

arning abilities in order to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and experiences. We endeavor to stress the development of independent learners by encouraging and supporting in-depth learning and creative thinking. Programs:

Congratulations to the UIL Meet of Champions Sweepstakes school representing the best of the best of PSJA ISD!

1st place - Livas Elementary
2nd place - Arnold Elementary
3rd place - Escobar Elementary

Over 1200 students competed in our 4 cluster Qualifying Meets and today we had 400+ students compete who advanced to the Meet of Champions!

Special shout-out to the PSJANorth Raider Nation Theatre Department for a special performance of the Descendants show!

It is with great pleasure that we congratulate the winners of the PSJA ISD i Middle School UIL Academics District Sweepstakes.

The top rankings for 7th/8th grade are LBJ Middle School in 1st place, Murphy Middle School in 2nd place, and Vela Middle School in 3rd place.

In the 6th grade category, Audie Murphy Middle School achieved 1st place, with Vela Middle School and Murphy Middle School following in 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.

We acknowledged their accomplishments at our annual awards ceremony and appreciate the participation of all students, parents, teachers, and administrators.

Congratulations to all our winners!
