Yesterday, PSJA Police Officers and Security Guardians came together for a day of training, teamwork, and preparation.

Our team completed annual fi****ms qualifications and shield training at the range, strengthening the skills, communication, and coordination needed to protect our students, staff, and campuses.

Training together builds trust.
Working together builds a stronger team. And when it comes to the safety of our district, we stand together.

One team. One mission. PSJA Family.

Together, we make our district safer. 🛡️👮‍♂️💪

Hey PSJA Family the 1st day of school is on Monday. We want to remind you to please follow all traffic laws when traveling to and from schools. Following all traffic laws ensures that everyone arrives safe and ready for school or work 😎😎.

Here is a list of common traffic infractions during the school year.

Please be aware at all times.

1. Passing a school bus when loading or unloading students (keep an eye out for the 🛑 on the sides of the bus)

2. Speeding in a school zone (slow down 🐢)

3. Loading and unloading students on the side of the road (This is a major safety concern as this increases your chances of being struck from behind 🚔)

4. Use of a communication device in a school zone (Talk, text, Facebook 👀, snapchat 😳, tik tok and others is prohibited 📱 )

5. Any Adopted city ordinances prohibiting left turns when exiting school properties. 🚫🚫⬅️ (times vary per campus)

Let's all work together to provide safe travels to all who attend, work and visit our PSJA facilities this school year.

Let's have a safe and wonderful school year 🚔🤠

Parents: Know the Apps Your Kids Are Using 🚨

Many popular apps today include features like anonymous chatting, location sharing, and hidden content, which can put kids at risk for bullying, inappropriate content, or contact with strangers.

Stay involved:
✔️ Talk with your kids about their apps
✔️ Check privacy settings
✔️ Know who they’re communicating with

Awareness is key to keeping our kids safe online.
