Officer C. Lizcano is the SRO for Southwest Highschool. Mental Health awareness is very important to him & wants everyone to know it’s ok not to be ok. He is there for his students and all of PSJA schools when needed.

Officer X. Sanchez & Officer E. Cantu visited Bertha Palacios Elementary yesterday morning to promote Bully awareness. We would like to thank Principal Mrs. Cardoza for letting us speak to her students and spread words of encouragement.
Thank you Officer Cantu & Officer Sanchez for making this part of your daily schedule. You guys work hard on to protect our campuses and keep them safe and secure. 💙
For the past two months our officers have been doing bully & social media presentations to our 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students. Our goal is to teach them young about the dangers and consequences that come with words and actions in school, home or now a days online.
Todays visit was with our awesome students at Allen & William Arnold Elementary 5th grade class. Students were able to learn about the different types of bullying and how to be kinder to each other.

Expect delays to and from school starting tommorrow.
Demolition of the U.S. Business 83 bridge in Pharr will begin Thursday, October 20. Crews will bring down the south side of the bridge before starting reconstruction.
Overnight closures of the underpass will be necessary through next Thursday for demo. The closures will take place weeknights and Sunday from 8PM – 6AM, Friday from 9PM – 9AM, and Saturday from 8PM – 10AM.
Detour signs will direct motorists through the Jackson Road underpass.

October 12 is National Stop Bullying Day. We are grateful to John McKeever Elementary for inviting Officer R. Suarez & Officer X. Sanchez to educate the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students on bullying.
For the month of October we are promoting Red Ribbon & Halloween Safety across our PSJA Campuses. This morning we paid our first visit to Aida C. Escobar Elementary Ms. Marilyn Unit Classroom.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your morning activities. Seeing the kids smile and saying thank you for the treat bags made our day. 😊🚔📝
