Vanguard Van Gogh Elementary Vanguard Academy is a tuition free Public Charter School District with campuses in the cities of Pharr, Alamo, Edinburg, and Mission.

💻 Access the parent portal to check grades, attendance, and important information
🩺 Submit medical excuses for their child’s absences

🚗 IMPORTANT DISMISSAL REMINDER – 1st & 3rd GRADE FAMILIES
Dear Van Gogh Royals Families,
We have an important update regarding afternoon dismissal to help keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.
📍 1st & 3rd Grade Pickup
Only students who were previously picked up in the curve for 1st and 3rd Grade will now be picked up through Gate E – Primary Pickup.
🚨 Pk3, Pk4, Kinder Pickup
There is NO CHANGE to the pick location for Pk3, Pk4 and Kinder. Pick up continues through Jackson Rd.
🚨 4th & 5th Grade Pickup
There is NO CHANGE to the pickup location for 4th and 5th Grade students. They will continue using their current pickup procedures.

🚔 IMPORTANT: Please do not form pickup lines early, as this can create traffic congestion and safety concerns. Any lines or vehicles blocking traffic may be directed to move by Pharr PD, and citations may be issued if vehicles are not following traffic directions. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work together to make dismissal safe, organized, and efficient for everyone. 💙💛

Hi parents,
Reminder that we have changed our traffic maps starting tomorrow Aug 17

All 1-3rd graders (those that were being picked up in the curved lane) will now be picked up on the primary side. Please enter through Jackson. Please have your car tags ready and visible.

Please advise your daycare they will enter through the second entrance from the west on Moore rd. A security guard will let them in.

Drop off stays the same
4-5th grade stays the same

Van Gogh Elementary Afternoon Pick up

HI parents, please check out the attached image for the Afternoon Pick up routes.
For families with multiple students:
If you have students in grade PK3-1st, their older siblings will come from their classrooms to the PK3-1st grade classes.
If your youngest students are in 2nd grade and up, they will travel to the pick up spot for their oldest sibling, including the secondary pick up.
Please note, early pick up in the front office stops at 2:30pm.
The gates for regular line pick up start at 2:45.
All traffic will exit to Moore Road and turn right. Per city ordinance, there is no left turn at that time of day.
Please be alert, be safe and follow the direction of staff and security. Please also have your car tag readily available.
Students must be picked up by 4:15, if not in the ACE program or another after school activity.

Hola, padres de familia. Por favor, revisen la imagen adjunta para conocer las rutas de recogida por la tarde.

Para las familias con varios estudiantes:

Si tienen estudiantes en PK3 a 1.º grado, sus hermanos mayores saldrán de sus salones y se dirigirán a las clases de PK3 a 1.º grado para la recogida.
Si su estudiante más pequeño está en 2.º grado o superior, todos los hermanos serán dirigidos al punto de recogida correspondiente al estudiante de mayor grado, incluyendo la recogida de secundaria.

Información importante:

La salida temprana en la oficina principal termina a las 2:30 p. m.
Las puertas para la fila regular de recogida abrirán a las 2:45 p. m.
Todo el tráfico deberá salir hacia Moore Road y girar a la derecha. De acuerdo con las ordenanzas de la ciudad, no se permiten giros a la izquierda durante ese horario.
