PSJA ISD Public Comment on Library Orders -
Thank you for reviewing our proposed library book orders. Parents are welcome to make comments on the titles included in the lists. We appreciate and value your feedback.

Please note the books our libraries will receive with this year's budget were already approved in the June 2026 School Board Meeting.

The following lists on our website are special lists that are going to the School Board for Approval.

In the link below will find the list of titles provided to us from Region One through our MackinVIA cooperative. These ebooks and audiobooks will not be added to MackinVIA until they have been approved by our School Board.

The second list is a grant received by T-STEM ECHS library to purchase additional titles for their collection.

Our PSJA Summer Reads Celebration was out of this world! Students and librarians brought our Toy Story theme to life while celebrating our Pre-K through 5th grade top readers who logged the most summer reading minutes in Beanstack! A special thank you to our amazing librarians for inspiring a love of reading and to the PSJA Education Foundation for helping make this annual celebration possible!

It’s Library Card Sign-Up Month!

A special thank you to Sgt. Fernando De La Rosa Memorial Library in Alamo Tx. and Ms. Jessica Garcia for visiting students at the PSJA Memorial Early College High School Library!

Students were excited to receive their FREE public library cards, learn about the many FREE resources and services available through the public library, and participate in a fun and engaging Book Tasting Activity!

A very special thank you to Librarian Maribel Marin for making this wonderful opportunity possible for her students and for continuing to find meaningful ways to connect them with literacy resources both at school and in our community!

Welcome Back, PSJA ISD Librarians!

What a great way to kick off a brand-new school year! We are excited to welcome our amazing librarians back for our PSJA ISD Librarians Academy, August 12–13!

This year’s theme, “Don’t Stop Reading,” sets the stage for two days of learning, collaboration, and innovation. Our librarians will strengthen their professional skills with a special focus on leveraging AI in the library, enhancing digital practices, and exploring new ways to support student success.

We were honored to receive a special welcome from Superintendent Dr. Elias and Dr. Marquez, who stopped by to greet our librarians and thank them for the incredible work they do each day to support our students, staff, and families across PSJA ISD.

Here’s to a new school year filled with reading, learning, innovation, and endless possibilities!
