One fun activity we tried this weekend was to make our own xylophone out of glass. The kids loved it and called the sound the “song of geometry.”

Why study with Eduardo?
Eduardo is a true Renaissance man. He is an anthropologist, ethnomusicologist, folk music specialist and classical symphonic musician. He is a singer-songwriter, visual artist, composer, performer, and luthier, constructing several different instruments from his native Bolivia.
He has taught a myriad of classes: seminars on Yogic breathing for woodwind players in Argentina, music theory and performance for children of the streets of Bolivia, music therapy to students of the Rudolf Steiner Institut in Germany, and classical Oboe to students around the world. He was the first oboist of the National Symphony Orchestra of Bolivia for nearly two decades, and previous oboe students have won positions in renowned orchestras in Europe.
Eduardo teaches oboe, guitar, note reading, music theory, improvisation, South American rhythms, ukulele, native flutes, and yoga for musicians. He infuses each lesson with his love of music and a passion for helping each student discover the joy and enlightenment that music has brought to his life through careful practice, a strong willpower and masterful instruction.

Why study with Rachel?
Each child (and adult) has a genius inside, and music is a pathway towards discovery of that inner genius.
At each lesson, Rachel brings a positive attitude and a nurturing personality, and helps each student find creative ways to make learning happen.
She brings 20 years of performance experience and pedagogical strategies to the teaching of harp and piano.
Music is a key to unlock every thought and feeling, human and divine, and her hope is to inspire musicality, confidence, and heightened mental awareness at each lesson.
Whether her students decide to become musicians or whether they decide to pursue another field, Rachel knows that each student will take away the tools necessary during the journey towards self discovery and success.
