Our campus was overflowing today in the very best way!! This afternoon was VIP Day which means some our Lion’s most favorite people came to explore camps and celebrate with them today!

Take a scroll through the moment captured and know for every smile there was 10-fold more. We are pretty sure our Lion’s roars may have turned into pure giggles today with the amount of joy on campus 🦁

Thank you to everyone who came and made today extra special - moms, dads, grandmas, aunties, uncles, family friends and more - our students are so blessed to have you in their lives!

“I receive it!”

Today was Mission Offering week, and what a joyful chapel morning together.

Pastor Daron led our Lions in a message connected to our theme verse as he modeled how the Holy Spirit “gifts” students a gift - kindness... faithfulness... self-control, they responded together, “I receive it!" a beautiful reminder that the Holy Spirit is at work in us, producing gifts like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

We also welcomed Tom Cotter from Backpack Friends, our Mission Offering recipient for the semester. Tom shared how Backpack Friends provides weekend food for children in our own community who might otherwise be hungry.

And our 4th graders, led by Mrs. Markgraf, shared their singing with “That’s Who I Praise” by Brandon Lake, praise hands and all! 🙌

We love seeing our Lions grow in faith while learning what it means to use what God has given us to love and serve others. 💙🦁

🔬 Science you can see, write, discuss, and test!

Fourth grade science with Mrs. Markgraf is anything but one-dimensional! This week, students explored density through a visual demonstration with water, balloons, and paperclips, recorded definitions and observations in their science notebooks, and worked together to categorize objects as more or less dense. Then, they came back together as a class to compare their thinking and confirm their results.

One lesson. Multiple layers of interaction, teamwork, and skill-building, all working together to turn a science concept into meaningful learning. 🧪📚

Kindergarten with Mrs. Reinhard is all about building the skills that set students up for a lifetime! At the beginning of the year, students are learning each letter’s proper formation, practicing their cutting skills, and connecting letters to their phonetic sounds.

These may look like simple activities, but they’re important building blocks for confident readers and writers. ❤️

Just hanging around with the best crew!

At CrossLife Christian Academy, we believe education is about more than what students learn from a textbook. It’s about growing in wisdom, building meaningful friendships, discovering their God-given gifts, and learning to see the good, the true, and the beautiful in the world around them.

From the classroom to the climbing dome, every part of the day is an opportunity to grow, connect, and live out our faith together. Because sometimes… learning and growing looks a lot like just hanging around. 😉🦁

🔬🤖 STEM Week at Camp CrossLife was packed with creativity, discovery, and hands-on fun!

Our campers spent the week exploring the amazing world of STEM with Mr. Walker. They built circuits, created robots, learned the basics of coding, and discovered that science isn't just about experiments - it can create beautiful art, too! 🎨

Way to go, campers, and a huge thank you to Mr. Walker for making STEM come alive in such exciting and memorable ways! 🦁💙

🏀⚾🥋⚔️ Last week was Sports Week at Camp CrossLife! Our campers had an action-packed week learning new skills and building confidence!

A huge thank you to Amazing Athletes for leading exciting basketball and baseball sessions that kept our campers active and engaged. They also enjoyed soccer, Gaga Ball, and a variety of cooperative games that encouraged teamwork and sportsmanship.

We're especially grateful to ClanVelez Jiu Jitsu () for introducing our campers to Jiu-Jitsu. The instructor was incredible with the kids! He was patient, encouraging, and so much fun!

We also want to thank Altius Fencing Academy for giving our campers the unique opportunity to experience the sport of fencing. It was amazing to watch them learn the fundamentals of this exciting sport while developing focus, coordination, and discipline.

Thank you to all of our community partners for investing in our campers and making Sports Week one to remember. We can't wait for more summer adventures at Camp CrossLife! 🦁💙 Stay tuned for more fun - as this week is STEM Week !

🍎 Meet the Teacher Tuesday - Meet Ms. Bare! 🍎

Please join us in giving a warm CrossLife Christian Academy welcome to Mrs. Bare, our new First Grade Teacher! 🎉🦁

Mrs. Bare is passionate about creating a classroom that feels like a home away from home - a place where every child feels known, nurtured, and encouraged to grow. She believes in fostering a growth mindset, reminding students that it's okay to be challenged because learning happens when we keep trying together. One of her favorite books is the classic Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (and we have a feeling her first graders will love it just as much as she does!).

Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Bare loves spending time with her family, creating art through drawing, acrylic painting, and watercolor, and has a special love for cacti and succulents. 🌵🎨 Although she spent much of her life in the Midwest, she was born here in Texas.! She's looking forward to exploring the beautiful trails of Central Texas, learning about the native plants, and discovering everything the Austin area has to offer.

We are thrilled to have Mrs. Bare joining our team and can't wait for the impact she'll have on our first graders. Please help us give her a warm CrossLife welcome - we're so glad she's part of our school family! ❤️
