Pewaukee School District was proud to host the 3rd Annual Regional AI Summit alongside CESA #1 in partnership with WCTC - Waukesha County Technical College!

This year’s theme, “Better Together: From Human Insight to AI Impact,” brought together educators from across southeastern Wisconsin to learn, collaborate and explore how we can best prepare students for their futures in an ever-evolving world of artificial intelligence.

Keynote speaker Arman Jaffer, Founder and CEO of Brisk Teaching, challenged educators to focus on the process, not just the product, finding ways for students to utilize AI while preserving the rigor, productive struggle and critical thinking that make learning meaningful.

One of the most valuable perspectives of the day came directly from students. High school students representing four area school districts participated in a Student Panel, sharing how they are already experiencing AI and what they hope to learn, understand and be supported in as these tools become an increasing part of their education and future.

Alongside impactful sessions led by AI leaders from throughout the state and the generous support of our sponsors, the day was a powerful reminder that none of us has to navigate this changing landscape alone.

A special thank you to our partners at CESA 1, Monica Sepic, Dria Setter and Holly Myhre, and Pewaukee School District Director of Innovation & Continuous Improvement Adriana Plach for spearheading this incredible event.

As AI continues to evolve, so will we. We look forward to continuing to learn, share and lead together as we work to prepare students to use AI safely, thoughtfully and effectively. Because when it comes to preparing our students for what’s next, we truly are Better Together.

Attention Pirates:

Please review our expectations for bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, skateboards, and other personal transportation devices to help keep our campus safe.

Students riding a traditional bicycle or permitted Class 1 e-bike must dismount upon entering school property, walk it to a designated bike rack, and secure it with a lock. Bike racks are located across from the District Office and near the Stadium Concession Stand (please do not lock bikes to the fence).

Bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, rollerblades, and similar devices may not be ridden on school sidewalks, parking lots, athletic facilities, or elsewhere on school property during the school day. Students are also expected to obey all traffic laws on campus, including stopping at stop signs and traveling in the correct direction.

Class 2 and Class 3 e-bikes, throttle-operated electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, mini bikes, dirt bikes, and other motorized recreational vehicles are not permitted on school property unless specifically authorized by the District.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe campus for all students, staff, and visitors. We look forward to a great school year!
