I4PL, a division of CESA #1

I4PL, a division of CESA #1 i4PL, Leading Learner-Centered Education The Institute has chosen to focus on personalized learning to re-design public education.

We believe that personalizing the educational experience for students holds the greatest leverage to transform the current educational design and build capacity for dramatic improvement in the performance of the educational system. The Institute defines personalized learning as an approach to learning and instruction that is designed around individual learner readiness, strengths, needs and intere

sts. Learners are active participants in setting goals, planning learning paths, tracking progress and determining how learning will be demonstrated. At any point in time, learning objectives, content, method and pacing are likely to vary from learner to learner. A fully personalized environment moves beyond both differentiation and individualization. The Institute has developed a model and change strategy to guide districts, based on change in three areas and in three phases: learning and teaching; relationships and roles; and structures and policies.

She led an unconference style discussion focused on AI topics during CESA 1's annual Agency Inservice - Staff shared what is top of mind for them and then broke into like-minded groups to pool knowledge and experiences.

When you have the best colleagues in the business, you are always surrounded by the best solutions!
