A big Thank You to Petoskey Public Safety for stopping at the center today to talk about fire safety and have the kids see the truck. The kids were so excited to see the truck up close.

Do you have a passion working with children -

We are looking for professional individuals who will provide a nurturing and safe learning environment for the children at our center. A candidate must have knowledge in the Early Childhood field and understand the development of children and how to interact with them in a fun and positive way. We recommend candidates to have at least a CDA or Associates in Early Childhood or a related field for our Assistant Teacher position, you can also be working on your classes for your degree to qualify. For our Infant and Toddler assistant positions, you must take the Infant Toddler class through MiRegistry per licensing requirements if you have not taken it through college or the CDA. We have one Assistant Teacher position opening in our infant classroom -ages 4 weeks through 13 months and our young toddler classroom- 13 months through 22 months. These positions are year round and full time, we are flexible for those currently taking classes toward your degree.
Qualifications:
Nurturing, friendly and reliable
Knowlegde of child development and behavior management
Track children's progress and communicate with their parents
Work together with your teaching team
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Excellent communication and instructional skills
Use opened ended art projects to develop children's creativity and self esteem
Must get a background check
Pay is dependent on education and experience

🐊 A is for Ally Alligator! 🐊 This week our Tiny Tots kicked off Zoophonics with Ally Alligator and created a very special swamp just for her! We put bags on our feet and stomped through green paint, then added tissue paper, grass, pom-poms, feathers, and sparkles to bring her swamp to life. Through this fun, hands-on activity, the children explored different colors and textures, practiced fine and gross motor skills, made creative choices, and worked together—all while building their connection between the letter A, its sound, and Ally Alligator. 💚🎨✨

Our infants are loving every bit of outside time this summer. One favorite activity is digging in the sand to build sand castles, exploring worms and touch the cool sand. We take in all of the nice Northern Michigan days that we can☀️

The Diaper Den had so much fun today exploring the light and shapes on the light table. They were smiling, giggling along with some high pitched squeals. The teachers talked about colors and shapes as they explored.

And we have a butterfly! The children love watching the caterpillars in our milkweed crawl around and live life. The children learn to respect them by watching with their eyes and keeping them safe by not touching them or the plants . Today was a big day…… they got to watch the Chrysalis stage happen in front of their eyes. What an amazing experience.
