We had the opportunity to fish the 8th Topwater League Series: Ga***rd Division - Kayak Bass Fishing Ga***rd Area on KP Lake last Thursday. Elijah Ingalls was able to get the win and Mr. Hudson secured big bass on a small fish factory. Congrats to Anthony Morse for winning the Berkley Fishing prize. With this event, Elijah secured AOY and Ryder solidified his ROY standings! The club is very proud of both anglers! Thank you for the continued support from our parents, supporters, and Belcher fishing.

After KP Lake, Elijah and Mr. Hudson headed over to Fletcher's Pond to fish the Michigan Kayak Trail State Championship which was a two day event. The results were not exactly what both wanted but a lot of big fish were caught. Elijah had a solid day 2 bag which landed him in 16th place which is his highest finish for a larger tournament. He should be very proud of all of his accomplishments this summer! Thank you to Clint and Lee Ingalls for all of the support and hospitality this weekend and throughout the summer.

We also want to thank Adam Drabek for supporting us by letting us do a drawing at check in. We raised about $100! Thank you to all of the anglers that bought tickets and stickers: Ken Callison, Norm Fenton, Tyler May, John Callison, Emily Rigney/Trevor, and many others! Our winners will represent us around the state!

Mr. Hudson was tournament fishing again this weekend but was with his son, River, representing the Northmen Anglers. Thank you to North Country Sportsmans Club-NCSC for putting on the kid's fishing event at the Save Roberts and Cochran Lakes memorial service. River caught the biggest fish on the day and won nice prizes! Elijah Ingalls and Mr. Hudson had the opportunity to fish the 2026 Topwater Series WaterDog Open Sponsored By WaterDog Outfitters on Muskegon and White Lakes/Rivers. Out of 73 anglers, Elijah fished 27th and Mr. Hudson finished 32nd. Eljiah had big bass for the last hour of competition! As competitors they were unhappy with their finishes but as anglers they learned alot about the fisheries and had the opportunity to learn from others. Thank you to Steve Kreuger and Steven M. Crooks for putting on a wonderful event with support from businesses like Johnson's Great Outdoors - Montague, Michigan .We look forward to next year and hope more club members will join! Thank you to the Clint/Lee Ingalls and sponsors for your continued support! We also want to thank Fisherman's Landing Campground for their hospitality while camping.

We fished stop number 7 of the Topwater League Series: Ga***rd Division - Kayak Bass Fishing Ga***rd Area last night on Burt and Mullett Lakes. Thank you to Elijah Ingalls, Ryder Blumke, and Isaac Fate for representing the club. Mr. Hudson was able to capture the win and big bass. Congrats to Isaac for winning the Berkley Fishing bag.

We had a great opportunity to fish three different tournaments in four days with pre fishing before that. With summer in full swing, Ryder was only able to fish our Thursday night event and the rest of the team was busy with camps/vacations/work. Mr. Hudson and Elijah were able to fish all three events. During these events, we had a great time hanging out, camping, and learning!

Topwater League Series: Ga***rd Division - Kayak Bass Fishing Ga***rd Area on Big Chub Lake with Belcher fishing, Randy Reszka, Lee Ingalls/Clint, Ben Blumke, and Anthony Morse.
Elijah Ingalls was able to get another win in the last 20 minutes to edge out Mr. Hudson and Ryder Blumke. It was great to have the top three finishers from our club!

Both Mr. Hudson (20th) and Elijah (18th) were able to get a decent limit but could not get the big bite that was needed before the wind picked up. We had a great time fishing one of the seven Michigan Lakes mentioned on Bassmaster's top 100 lakes. Take a look at this article to see the other six Michigan lakes on the list.

Topwater Trail Series Stop #2 - Elk / Skeg Topwater Series
This was a tough tourney for many, of the 18 anglers, only 4 had a limit. Elijah Ingalls was just outside of the money in 4th place with a nice 19.50 inch smallmouth which missed big bass by less than an hour.

Thank you to the Northmen Anglers that represented the club at stop number 5 of the Topwater League Series: Ga***rd Division - Kayak Bass Fishing Ga***rd Area on Tomahawk Creek Flooding. Congrats to Elijah Ingalls on another win and to Brooke Knickerbocker for Big Bass! A shoutout to Isaac Fate for an awesome showing at his first tournament! It was great to see Brody Lutz back on the water. Thank you Belcher fishing for putting on this event and Tabbitha Belcher for organizing a potluck after the tournament and to Clint/Lee Ingalls for cooking/photos. It is always great to share the water with Jeff Griffiths, Randy Reszka, and Veteran Angler.
