Mc-Nair Trueheart POST NO.622 The mission of the VFW is "Honoring The Dead By Serving the Living - We have served our COUNTRY now We are Serving our Community".

The VFW strives to do good things for deserving people. Annually, the 2.1 million members of the VFW and its Auxiliary contribute more than 11 million hours of volunteerism in the community, including participation in Make a Difference Day and National Volunteer Week. Each year, VFW members team up with like-minded local organizations to serve young people, those with special needs, the environment and many issues to improve their community and strengthen America.

Congratulations to SGM (Retired) Jose Soto-Rios! 🇺🇸🎉

The U.S. Army Quartermaster Corps recognized VFW Post 622's SGM (retired) Jose Soto-Rios as a 2026 Distinguished Members of the Corps (DMOC) during a special ceremony on June 16 at Fort Lee, Va.

Since 1968 this honor of excellence is awarded for a select few outstanding leaders who have made great contributions to Quartermaster Corps. "These leaders embody our rich heritage and are instrumental in fostering Regimental pride and esprit de corps across the force.

You can recognize these exceptional individuals by the exclusive Quartermaster Corps crest they wear, proudly inscribed with 'Distinguished Member of the Corps' above it" (U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command). VFW Post 622 offer our congratulations to all of the 2026 honorees
