What an incredible visit with Xavier Foley yesterday! 🎻He performed several beautiful works and spent time with our students for a wonderful Q&A and conversation about performance, composition, entrepreneurship, and his career.

Thank you, Xavier, for sharing your time and artistry with us, and thank you to the Richmond Symphony for making it possible! We’re so excited for the concert this weekend! ❤️

As summer begins to wind down and we look ahead to a new school year, we’re taking a moment to celebrate our Spring 2026 concert! 🎻 Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing some of our favorite performance highlights from this memorable program. Here we have an exciting excerpt from Danse bacchanale (from Samson et Dalila) by Camille Saint-Saëns

Thank you to everyone who made this season so special—from our incredible guest artists and outstanding faculty to the talented students across the Department of Music. Your support, collaboration, and dedication helped make this year one to remember.

Special thanks to Mr. Dustin Painter , Coordinator of Music Production Technology, for generously sharing your time and expertise in capturing the video and audio for us. We truly appreciate your support!!

We can’t wait to see what the next season has in store for VSU Strings! 💙🧡 Stay tuned!
