Students, Parents & Guardians of the classes of 2029 and 2030,
Please join us as we meet to discuss the newest changes to the Indiana diploma tracks. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to have a say in shaping your educational journey and ensure that it aligns with your aspirations and goals. The meeting will cover updates to diploma requirements and how these changes might impact your future academic and career paths.
For the Class of 2030, we have also scheduled your freshman orientation immediately following the diploma track discussion. This orientation will provide you with essential information and resources to help you transition smoothly into high school life. You'll get a chance to meet your administrators and learn about the exciting opportunities that await you.
Please join us on Wednesday, May 13th at 6:00 PM EST, in the PCHS Vance Hays Auditorium.

ATTENTION 🚨 current PCHS sophomores & juniors - the Patoka Valley Career & Technical Cooperative application is LIVE! If you are interested in enrolling in a cooperative program for the 26-27 school year, YOU MUST APPLY! Student information sessions will be held on Friday during homeroom. We will discuss all you need to know to complete your application and schedule times to help you do so! There are a ton of great programs - take a look at the video to see what you could be a part of! APPLICATION DEADLINE: February 27.

Each year, the Community Foundation awards scholarships created by local donors who want to help students in our region reach their goals. These awards support a wide range of career paths and education plans, including college, university, and technical programs.

The deadline to apply for the 25-26 school year is Monday, January 19, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

This year the application process has changed a bit. Some changes from the previous year:

- A Guidebook has been created. It is encouraged that every student review it before applying. You can find the guidebook and application link at: https://www.communityfoundationalliance.org/scholarships.

- New this year is the common application. This system will determine what scholarships students are eligible for by how they answer the questions in the common application.

- Transcripts: students will email their guidance counselors via the scholarship system for their transcript.

- Letters of recommendation: students will email those they are asking to do letters of recommendation. Those individuals will receive an email with a link to upload the letter of recommendation. They should also keep an eye on their spam folder for these notifications.

- It is the student’s responsibility to monitor their applications and make sure the letters of recommendation are uploaded before the deadline to be eligible.

Important dates:
- Application opens: Monday, December 1, 2025
- Deadline to apply: January 19, 2026
- Award announcements: Mid-April 2026
- College Selection Forms due from recipients: May 1, 2026

Students are encouraged to start their applications early, as many of the applications require an essay and/or letters of recommendation.
