This year is all about 4th grade and pre-k stuff. We don't get too stuck on grade level but work where we need to be to master the concepts before we move on. For example, in Math You See, we are doing a couple pages from the workbook, seeing its too easy so we skip to the test and then move right along to the next unit! In Spelling You See, we're seeing the word chucks (or blends) that we haven't mastered yet and spending extra time reading words with those belnds, doing flashcards, highlighting the blends, ect. It may take us 2 weeks instead of 1 to complete the unit but we are here to LEARN, not just complete the workbook pages.

It looks like we completely missed posting anything last school year! Last year we did 3rd grade and pre-k 3. For 3rd grade, we did a tutorial on Mondays and then pre-k 3 was on Wednesday and Friday. We also expanded our business last year by getting our own shop! I quit my part time job at the church and dove into getting our business going stronger. We packed our backpacks and headed to the shop for hours, many many times. This would explain our absence from this page last year! I was managing too many things. We saw Noah's Ark this winter! I hope they never forget it and I'd like to go again someday. There's SO MUCH to learn! I can't wait to start our Masterbooks science curriculum next year that we got while we were there. I read a bunch of it already on the drive home.
