🌟 MEET THE STAFF! 🌟

Meet Mrs. Stacy, our staffs’ treat maker… but in reality, she’s one of our wonderful infant teachers! 👶🩷

Mrs. Stacy grew up in Arenzville, IL, and is the youngest of four! She is a proud mom of three, including our very own Ms. Shelby, and an even prouder grandma to three grandchildren! 🥰
She has been with her husband, Mike, for 23 years, and they currently reside in Astoria. Mrs. Stacy has been part of the PKC family for the past 15 months, and we are so lucky to have her! 💕

When she’s not loving on our littlest learners, you can find Mrs. Stacy enjoying one of her favorite things—camping! 🏕️ She and Mike have a park model in Indiana and try to head up every other weekend during the open season.
And when it’s time for a little “me” time, Mrs. Stacy loves to either bake or clean while listening to music! 🎶🧁

We are so thankful to have Mrs. Stacy as part of our PKC family! Be sure to say hello the next time you see our treat maker/infant teacher! 💗

🌟 Meet Ms. Shelby! 🌟

This is Ms. Shelby, and you can find her loving on our littlest learners as our Infant Teacher! 👶💛

Ms. Shelby moved to Petersburg in 2017 and bought her home in 2018. She welcomed her twins, Oliver and Henry, in 2019 and then her sweet little girl, Ivy, in 2024. 🩷

Ms. Shelby has been part of PKC since the very beginning and has been our infant teacher since day one! Her love and dedication to our littlest kiddos has made her such a special part of our PKC family. 🥰

When she’s not at PKC, Ms. Shelby enjoys baking in her free time and relaxing with a good book whenever she gets the chance! 📚🧁

🌟 MEET THE STAFF: MS. RAYGAN! 🌟

This is Ms. Raygan, our Assistant Director! But you might also find her popping into just about any classroom around PKC! 💕 Raygan has been with PKC since we first opened and has worked her way up to her current role as Assistant Director. We’re so lucky to have her as part of our PKC family!

When she’s not at PKC, Raygan is also a full-time college student! This year, she is a senior at UIS as she works toward reaching her educational goals. 🎓

Raygan resides in Lincoln with her other half, Wyatt, and their four-year-old, C**t! ❤️

🏁 Fun Fact: You can most likely find Ms. Raygan at a demo derby! And every once in a while, you might even find her behind the wheel! Recently, she ran at the Logan County Demo Derby and placed 5th out of almost 30 cars! 🏎️💨

🌟 Meet the Staff: Apryl Edwards! 🌟
We are so excited to introduce Apryl Edwards, Director! 💙
Apryl has a true passion for early childhood education and has been working in childcare since 2003. Her journey began when she started babysitting at just 11 years old! She holds her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Administrationand brings years of experience, knowledge, and heart to our PKC family.

Apryl first joined PKC in 2024 as an Early Childhood Consultant, helping prepare for the opening of our new center even before the daycare broke ground. In 2025, she accepted the position of Director, and we are so grateful to have her leading our team! 🏫✨

Outside of PKC, Apryl and her husband, a 20-year retired Air Force veteran, reside in Petersburg with their third-grade twins, Brooklyn and Griffin, and their two dogs, Moxie and Lady. 🐶🐶

And now for some fun facts about Apryl! 👀�🇮🇹 She lived in Italy for 3 years!�🏈 She performed at Super Bowl ###II!�🥁 She can play the drums!

We are incredibly lucky to have Apryl’s leadership, experience, and dedication as part of our PKC family. Be sure to say hello and get to know our amazing Director! 💙✨

These protective concrete barriers may not be the prettiest improvement but we are doing our best to watch the news and keep our children’s safety first. Thank you to parents and community members who reached out with this suggestion.

We continue to save up funds to redo our parking lot and appreciate your patience with our decision to press pause on that project and spend some of the funds on this safety precaution.

Even though it was a warm one, the kids absolutely LOVED getting to see, explore, and learn about all of the amazing vehicles! Their excitement and smiles made it all worth it! 🥰

A huge THANK YOU to The Corner Cup for treating our kiddos to a sweet surprise as we celebrate our last week of summer before school starts! 🍦💙

The smiles on their faces said it all—they absolutely loved their ice cream! Thank you for helping make today extra special for our PKC kids and such a fun way to wrap up summer.
