Hi Sisters, its Cindi. I am saddened to hear about the events that occurred on the VSU campus this past week.....I was the only pledge when I joined. I had to learn the Greek alphabet, the names and addresses of all of the members. I was lead to Ernest Hall and set on a step...blindfolded with a Kotex and questioned about who was in front of me speaking by all of the Sisters. i had to come to the cafeteria during the day in a toga with no makeup except bright red lipstick. I had to sit on Clay's lap and sing the sorority song. Then I was in. Hell week over. The best I can remember you all had to dress up as "something", bring a "left hander screwdriver" or a "bag stretcher" or something just as obscure!! You had to go on a scavenger hunt in said outfit. You were required to sing our Sorority song to get your next clue in the scavenger hunt. You were required to be blindfolded and wore some outrageous hat with condoms on it at the sorority house. With mostly only your Sisters present. WE NEVER DID THINGS LIKE THIS. Requiring people to cross a cold, raging river. I have heard stories for several years straight from those pledging of the inhumane things that they are required to do. I pray for the families and the two young men. Sorry girls, this has really touched my heart. I would like for you to pray for them as well. May God Bless you all Sisters. AND PLEASE if any of you have Children who are entering college, remind them that Brothers and Sisters are there to support each other and teach each other.
