Dear Walnut Hill Families,

We extend a warm invitation for you to join us in honoring our scholars for their exemplary academic dedication during the 2nd Nine Weeks. On Friday, March 1, 2023, we will proudly host our "Tiger Pride Awards Celebration." We highly encourage parents and caregivers to participate in these assemblies.

Schedule for the day:
- Kindergarten & First Grade Assembly: 9:30 a.m.
- Second & Third Grade Assembly: 10:30 a.m.
- Fourth & Fifth Grade Assembly: 11:30 a.m.

Your presence will undoubtedly enhance the significance of this celebration as we recognize and applaud the hard work and achievements of our students.

I would like to personally thank all who attended the “Motivation with Mom and Mom Figures” event held today at Walnut Hill Elementary. It was a pleasure witnessing the interaction as moms and mom figures engaged in math activities.

In addition, the mom/mom figures were given the opportunity to "shout out" their child(ren) and talk about how awesome they are. As the Student Support Specialist at Walnut Hill Elementary, I’m responsible for ensuring students and families have the platform to engage in activities to increase family engagement.

I also assist with monitoring attendance and contacting parents to remind them of the attendance policy and how vital attending school is. I am very passionate about my role and ensuring students are actively engaged in school. It is my hope that in this role, I am able to not only be a positive role model but inspire students to never give up on their dreams, no matter how hard things may be. I am a firm believer that failure is only when you do not try, but success will follow when continuous efforts are made. 🌠

Our Book Fair is approaching! The official opening of our Book Fair is scheduled for November 6th, and it will continue until November 10th. Parents, you are welcome to visit on Tuesday, November 7th during the day and again on Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm to make purchases.
