“The change both parties are seeking must come from the bottom, NOT the top.”

To our Republican and Democratic friends, when you go to vote in-person on May 16th, it's important to remember this is a PRIMARY election and therefore the appearance of your ballot will depend on your registered party.

PA law allows school board candidates to cross-file, if they so desire, which means they can actually appear on BOTH ballots, regardless of their registered party.

For that reason, we are providing you with the following image to download and to share with your friends across the political spectrum. This way, when you are at the polls, you can have our endorsed candidates on your phone screen, EXACTLY as they will appear on your voting machine screen. Just zoom in on the ballot corresponding with your party.

For simplicity, you'll note that the image only contains what PAGE 3 of the REPUBLICAN and DEMOCRATIC ballots will look like since that is the page containing the school board race and is clearly the most complicated race. The complete ballots will be on our website soon (www.ptgop.com).

Since two of the candidates are not cross-filed, any registered Democrats wanting to vote for them will have to vote for them as "WRITE-INS" by simply clicking that option and manually typing their name in ACCURATELY.

We are asking registered Democrats to vote for our endorsed candidates too, simply because of what we are hearing from them while out campaigning:

"I didn't leave my party, my party left me."

We couldn't agree with you more. We understand that you are not ready to change your party registration because you're hopeful the current trajectory of the party will change. Trust us, so are we. It's time to start working together again and we plan to do that locally if the local committee is willing to.

That being said, here is your opportunity to help us ensure the focus in school remains on TRUTH, academic EXCELLENCE, fiscal RESPONSIBILITY, and community INVOLVEMENT. For the sake of the next generations, this is an area we all can agree on, regardless of party.

Please Vote May 16th.

Please Vote for a group of INDIVIDUALS, thinking as INDIVIDUALS, debating as INDIVIDUALS. We are at a time in history where we need debate, critical thinking, and bravery - NOT rubber stamping and shoulder shrugs.

Please vote for our 5 endorsed candidates regardless of your political registration. The change both parties are seeking must come from the bottom, NOT the top.

An Open Letter from Alex O'Neill 🇺🇸🏫

For anyone who does not personally know me, my name is Alex O'Neill and I am running for Peters Township School Board Director.

I am from western Pennsylvania and my wife Laura and I have been residents of Peters Township since 2017. We have three children: our son is in fourth grade at McMurray Elementary and our twin daughters are in second grade at Bower Hill Elementary.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐦 𝐈 𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝? My journey began in 2021 when I ran as a write-in candidate in response to the Peters Township School Board’s decision to mandate masks during the 2021-2022 school year. For anyone unaware of the events which led to the write-in campaign throughout the summer of 2021, the position of the School Board was that there would be no mask mandate unless a statewide order was in effect. Families made schooling decisions based upon this premise. However, immediately prior to the school year, the School Board mandated masks when there was no statewide order in effect while parents were locked out of the meeting. I stepped up to run as a write-in candidate to be a voice for outraged parents who felt betrayed and believed that parents, not school boards, should decide whether or not their children should wear a mask to school. Although as a write-in candidate I had received 2,223 votes, I came shy of winning a seat. Since this time, I have attended numerous school board meetings and have worked to further my understanding of the Peters Township School District as well as other issues facing school boards throughout the nation. Furthermore, I am a parent and tax paying resident of Peters Township and like many other residents live in Peters Township for good schools and low taxes. As a taxpayer, I have a vested interest in wanting to ensure taxes are low without the constant yearly tax increases. As a parent, my primary focus is ensuring that children receive the highest quality education possible and that parents have a significant role in their children’s education. While there are numerous reasons why I am running for School Board Director, simply put I am a concerned parent and frustrated taxpayer.

𝐌𝐲 𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥/𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Master of Business Administration and licensed Professional Engineer in three states. I also have over 16 years of professional experience in Engineering, Marketing, and Sales. My professional and educational background have provided me with experience in complex problem solving, rational decision making, negotiation, communication and finance. All of these attributes will help to make me an effective School Board Director. Additionally, I have served the Peters Township community on the Zoning Hearing Board since 2018, and am a Republican Party Precinct Committeeman for Peters D-1.

If you have any questions about my positions or policies, please feel free to contact me via this post, DM or at [email protected].

I hope to earn your 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞🗳️ in the Primary Election on May 16th, and again in the General Election on November 7th.

Thank you for your time.

❤️🖤

Peters Township Friends & Family,

First and foremost, thank you SO MUCH for your support! As a community, we rallied! Your voices have been heard, loud and clear! We are beyond excited for what’s to come!

It has been a confusing process, but we’re learning every step of the way! Thank you for patiently waiting as we try to figure out what the next steps are.

For now, here is what we have. We will continue to update you as we have new information.

🇺🇸 It turns out that the write-in counting won’t begin until Monday or Tuesday of next week (11/8 or 11/9). There are a lot of write-in ballots in Washington County, not just the ballots in Peters Township…so we don’t know what day next week the Canvassing Board will get to our particular category ( PT School Board Director) to count the write-in candidates.

Unfortunately, yes, that means more waiting. The counting could take up to 1 week give or take…

In the meantime, we want to keep meeting you - the parents and people that make up Peters Township! ♥️🤝

We can still work together to advocate for parental involvement!

Reach out and let us know how we can help you!

Happy Weekend!! 🙌🏻
