End 68 Hours of Hunger is an amazing program that provides students in our community with nutritious meals during weekends and school breaks.

We are proud to be partnering with Happy Valley Preschool and Robin's Nest Nature Preschool in collecting donations to support such an important cause!

We’d love your help! We’re looking to collect the following items; small cans of chicken or tuna, fruit cups, canned pasta and granola bars. Together we can make sure the children in our community aren’t going hungry. Please share. 🫶🏻

Emailing in the New Year reminded me to share this:
A large part of Robin's Nest curriculum is about gaining independence and learning to take care of yourself. We teach how to get dressed, how important it is to drink water, eat healthy, and why. How to take care of your body when you feel hot or cold, how to solve all sorts of problems, how to handle when things do not go your way, and to care about the Earth, others, animals and themselves. We learn the value and importance of communication and are constantly modeling how to help, talk, and get what you need. We focus on manners and respect and expect children to say please and thank you. We help children learn self regulation and what to do when they need space, pressure, love, a break, a purpose, or an activity. We teach how to show appreciation and how important it is to care about others and the community. All of this is done outdoors and modeled often through caring for living things in nature.

This year Robin's Nest Nature Preschool will be donating the money raised at the Living Local Art Fair on 12/10 from their bake sale, to the Kilhim Bear Center in Lyme, NH. Each year we choose a local nature or outdoor based organization to donate to as a way to give back and teach the children about caring and supporting others. Here is a recent article about what they are doing! Please come shop the sale! https://www.sierraclub.org/sierra/yes-bears-were-everywhere-new-england-year
