Kids at this developmental stage find little benefit — or enjoyment — in constructing Thanksgiving hand-turkeys or cotton-ball snowmen.

It's not Black Friday, it's Black FUR-Day!

This year, while you recuperate from your Thanksgiving feast and shop till' you drop, your kids can spend the day at the Marin Humane Society at our first ever Black FUR-Day Camp!

At Black FUR-Day Camp, kids will learn about how we care for shelter animals and get a chance to meet a variety of animal guests. Keeping with the holiday spirit, we'll also explore the ways we're thankful for animals, both domestic and wild. And of course, there will be crafts and games (and snacks)!

The Marin Humane Society has 14 new fuzzy friends. I had hamsters my whole childhood and they can be a great introductory pet for children who are able to handle small animals delicately.
