PSM is excited to welcome Rachel to the teaching staff!

Rachel teaches French horn with a pedagogy built on mindfulness, physiology, physics, and over ten years of high-level performing experience. Her teaching mission is to foster a lifelong love for music in her students while teaching them sustainable practices to support that passion.

We are excited to announce Marisa Troppy as the latest addition to the PSM teaching team.

Marisa is a private voice coach, credentialed music educator in Arizona and California and former Director of Music for St. Mark in Oro Valley, Arizona.

Her teaching philosophy is deeply influenced by the Kodály method, which holds that educational approaches should follow the natural rhythms of a child’s development. Marisa is dedicated to instilling a strong foundation in technique, theory and music appreciation that will inspire life-long musicians and music enthusiasts.

The spotlight is now on our fearless leader Melody Caspari! And yes Melody is her real name - her parents must have known she would be gifted in music.

A classically trained Soprano, Melody is a Bay Area based Opera Singer. She has performed in numerous venues throughout California and has also appeared on stages in New York, and Verona, Italy.

Her goal for the Petaluma School of Music is to provide a haven in Petaluma for all to enjoy, experience, and grow through music. Music for all!
