A common ungulate found at WCR is the Black-tailed Deer, also called the Mule Deer.

Fawns are typically birthed in late spring (May or June). Litter sizes range from 1-2. Fawns are born with spots, which help with camouflage. They lose their spots by late summer or early fall.
