Our Spanish Music, Movement & Stories program, Cuentos con ritmo, is officially back to our regular schedule! 🎶

Throughout the school year, we’ll be visiting public libraries across Sonoma and Marin counties with Cuentos con Ritmo.

🤗Yesterday, we were at the Cloverdale Library and Healdsburg Regional Library and today we will be at Novato Library South Novato Library and Rohnert Park-Cotati Library
We are excited to reconnect with familiar families and welcome some new ones, too!

🙋🏻‍♀️Tomorrow, Thursday, Cuentos con ritmo is returning to Children’s Museum | Santa Rosa at 10:30 am.

And this Saturday, you can find us at:

🎨It’s more than art.

🐍At Cuentos Mágicos, art brings to life the characters and experiences children first discover through high-quality children’s literature.

👩🏻‍🏫Each project is part of a carefully designed learning process where students naturally listen to, understand, and follow instructions in Spanish presented in ways that are clear and appropriate for their level. As they create, they also use Spanish with a real purpose—asking for materials, answering questions, and practicing our “magic phrases” to complete each step of the project.

🖼️The finished artwork is much more than a beautiful keepsake. It’s evidence of meaningful learning, where literature, creativity, play, and language come together in a way that makes Spanish both authentic and memorable.

🎭At Cuentos Mágicos, we don’t do crafts to teach Spanish—we use art to bring literature to life and give language a meaningful purpose.

🐍En Cuentos Mágicos, el arte da vida a los personajes y las experiencias que los niños descubren por primera vez a través de la literatura infantil de alta calidad.

👩🏻‍🏫Cada proyecto forma parte de un proceso de aprendizaje cuidadosamente diseñado en el que los alumnos escuchan, comprenden y siguen de forma natural las instrucciones en español, presentadas de manera clara y adecuada a su nivel. Mientras crean, también utilizan el español con un propósito real: pedir materiales, responder preguntas y practicar nuestras «frases mágicas» para completar cada paso del proyecto.

🖼️La obra de arte terminada es mucho más que un bonito recuerdo. Es la prueba de un aprendizaje significativo, en el que la literatura, la creatividad, el juego y el lenguaje se unen de una forma que hace que el español resulte auténtico y memorable.

🎭En Cuentos Mágicos, no hacemos manualidades para enseñar español: utilizamos el arte para dar vida a la literatura y dotar al idioma de un propósito significativo.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Children’s Fairyland last week! Through stories, music, movement, puppets, and meaningful play, we shared the joy of Spanish with so many wonderful families. 🐼

At Cuentos Mágicos, stories don’t stay on the pages of a book. We sing them, move through them, act them out, and bring them to life. That’s how children experience Spanish in a way that feels natural, engaging, and fun.

🌈Whether your family wants your child to learn Spanish or keep Spanish active, our goal is the same: to build a positive relationship with the language through children’s literature.

😃This video is just one example of how we teach. We believe children learn best when play has a purpose. Every activity invites them to listen, imagine, move, interact, and use Spanish in meaningful ways while having fun.

🧚Today, Cuentos con Ritmo makes its debut at —a place that has always represented imagination, community, and the joy of storytelling.

🦄Years ago, we came here as a family so our daughter could experience the magic of Fairyland. We sat in front of this very stage, applauding storytellers, musicians, and performers. 🙌🏼Today, we have the honor of standing on that same stage, sharing the magic of Spanish-language children’s literature with families from across Oakland and beyond.

😊What a privilege to be part of a place that brings together such a diverse community and reminds us that stories have the power to connect us all.
