Today students in Mrs. Raymond’s class put on their detective badges and investigated what happened to the lost colony of Roanoke. They used their skills to read through evidence for a variety of scenarios to determine which was most likely the cause of the disappearance.

Fifth graders finished their first class book of the year! In Children of the Longhouse, eleven year old Ohkwa’ri has to play on the old man’s team against an enemy. Mrs. Boover’s classes spent some time learning how the Iroquois nation played Tekwaarathon (lacrosse). It is MUCH harder than it looks!

5th grade ELA wrapped up our Poetry Out Loud competition with our classroom winners competing yesterday. We are so proud of all of our students and the effort they put into their performances! Our top 2 finalists were Olivia Boone and Aubrey King.
