Introducing Josh Friedland: artist, performer, and now teacher! Some of you may know him for his incredible talent as a guitar player and vocalist. Josh has played with various bands such as Midnight Rodeo, Fire on High, and his latest project-Broke Down Datsun over the past 25 years and has played on some of the biggest festival stages in Wisconsin including Summerfest and Hodag.
Josh is a true artist who is passionate about every avenue of music: from writing and composing, recording, performing, and teaching. He is knowledgeable in a variety of genres from funk to rock to folk to indie pop to country. Josh’s strength lives with rhythm and lead guitar, but plays several different instruments including mandolin, banjo, bass, piano and more.
Josh is ready to instill his wisdom, skills, and knowledge to the next generation of musicians. By teaching the basic fundamentals of playing guitar and music theory, he will ensure that you gain the foundation of knowledge to take your guitar playing to the next level. He will teach the basics of guitar, rhythm, and lead and if you are lucky, may even pass on some of his intricate and hypnotizing picking talent to his students.
Josh has a vision to create a music school where kids of any age can come together, pick up an instrument and learn how to play either individually or together with a group of peers where they will learn what it is like to play with a band.

Located in Peshtigo next to the Peshtigo Cafe, August Moon Music is now enrolling with lessons to begin December 1st
