It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved teacher and friend, Mrs. Jane Weberski. We extend our thoughts and prayers to her husband Mick, their children and grandchildren, and her extended family during this difficult time. Throughout her 43 year teaching career at Peru Catholic School, Mrs. Weberski took on many roles including primarily junior high math teacher, art teacher, religion teacher, reading teacher, scholastic bowl coach as well as interim principal. Her kindness and dedication were evident in her classroom where Mrs. Weberski ensured that every student felt seen and valued even years after they graduated. She will always be remembered by her students, their parents and families, her fellow teachers, and all those who knew her for her encouragement, her patience, her compassion, and her smile. We are so grateful for her many years of service to our school and the role she played in shaping the hearts and minds of our students. May Mrs. Weberski rest in peace knowing the impact she had on the lives of our students, their families and the entire school community.

The funeral mass for Mrs. Weberski will begin at 11:30 am on Thursday September 18 at St. Joseph Church in Peru. A visitation for Mrs. Weberski will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday September 17, 2025, at Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley and also from 11:00 until the start of the funeral mass on Thursday September 18 at St. Joseph Church in Peru.
