Looking ahead, I wanted to let everyone know of something cool I have planned for the months ahead. I mentioned recently that I was training for the Boilermaker in July. Truth be told, that will be a warm-up/training run for a race that I am running in September. I had the good fortune of being hooked up with two other female myeloma patients, and together we are doing the Ironman 70.3 Relay! I will be running the half-marathon portion. Since my diagnosis with multiple myeloma two years ago, I've been hyper-aware of how many people I know that live or work in Peru, or who grew up in Peru, that have/had cancer or some other serious or mysterious illness. I am beginning to collect some data, and I would like your help. I just can't shake the feeling that all of this illness could somehow be related environmentally.
