Today, we celebrate something truly special. Ms. Kasey, you have been with us for 10 years, showing dedication, heart, and hard work in early childhood education. For a full decade, you have shown up each day ready to make a difference in the lives of young children. Youâve helped children grow, learn, and feel safe. Youâve supported families, built relationships, and created a classroom where children feel seen, heard, and valued. Ten years may sound like a number, but behind it are countless moments. The impact youâve made will carry on far beyond these walls. We are so grateful for your commitment, your passion, and the care you pour into everything you do. Thank you for being such an important part of our team.
Congratulations on 10 amazing yearsâwe appreciate you more than words can say.
Love your school family

Today we have the opportunity to be at the Capitol for Child Advocacy Day, standing up for what we truly believe inâsupporting children, families, and the future of early childhood education. It is a meaningful experience to come together with others who share the same passion and commitment, using our voices to bring awareness to the needs of our communities. We are proud to advocate for better access, support, and opportunities for every child, knowing that even small efforts can lead to big changes.

As part of our ongoing work with the Perry County Childcare team, we have been meeting to discuss our shared concerns about how to provide affordable, accessible childcare for families in our community. Advocating for families in early childhood means speaking up and taking action to ensure every child and family has access to quality care, education, and support. It includes helping families connect to resources, building strong partnerships, and sharing their needs and voices with decision-makers. By working together with local organizations, educators, and leaders, we can create a community where young children are supported, families feel empowered, and everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Next week, Meg Layton and Mindy Moffitt will attend Child Advocacy Day in Jefferson City to further their efforts to support children and families.

Weâd like to extend a big thank you to Representative Wolfin for visiting our preschool and taking the time to listen to and discuss our concerns regarding childcare. The children especially enjoyed asking lots of questions like âWhatâs your job?â âDo you have kids?â âWhatâs your favorite football team?â and even âWhatâs your favorite vegetable?â đ We also enjoyed giving him a glimpse into what we, as educators, do on a daily basis and sharing what this career truly means to us. We appreciate the meaningful conversation and your support for children, families, and early childhood educators in our community.
SNAP OF THE WEEK - Earlier this week, Representative Bryant Wolfin visited M&M Kid's Kampus in Perryville. Thank you for joining us!

We would like to announce that Ms.Mindy & Ms.Meg were able to attend a two day veto session in Jefferson City along with the fellows from Kids Win Missouri. They were able to meet with and discuss their concerns with our local legislator Representative Wolfin and Senator Burger. Some of the concerns discussed were available funding for parents and providers for the on going cost of childcare, quality education for children, and benefits needed to maintain quality staff. They were included in the press conference announcing the launch of the new program Childcare Works, which connects community involment to help aid in early childhood. This was an amazing opportunity for them as dedicated providers of quality education. They both will continue to fight and advocate for children, families and providers.
