Our policy is to accept comments made to Perryton ISD social media platforms, except in circumstances where those comments contain:

· Language that disrupts school operations or endorses actions endangering the health and safety of students

· Hate speech

· Profanity, obscenity, vulgarity or nudity

· Promotion of the illegal use of drugs, alcohol or other co

ntrolled substances

· Defamation

· Intent to sell a product

· Comments that infringe on copyrights or intellectual property rights
PISD accepts no responsibility for social media pages created and maintained by Booster Clubs, Non-school groups or private citizen pages made to appear official. Posts that violate the above policies will be removed from public view. Severe or frequent offenders will be blocked from future postings. Non-Discrimination

I don’t have enough words to express the emotions I’m feeling right now. Another great TSSEC trip in the books! I’ve shared success with other outstanding young people and sponsors on similar trips, but this one’s different…my last one. No “we’ll do better next year”, “we’ll do even better next year”, or “what more could I have done to get them prepared”. This is it…the end of almost four decades of competition with the best students Perryton, Texas could offer. The last of thousands of miles on buses and vans…laughing, sometimes crying, sleeping when possible, and sweating when the AC quit on the bus, or freezing because we didn’t dare adjust the thermostat, miles of hoping, sometimes praying, there was a pit stop not many miles ahead! BUT how blessed of God I have been to travel those miles with those who at that time were my students, and who I will now forever consider friends. Thank you all for sharing your lives with me! Thank you for sharing your gift of singing with so many people. My life, and the lives of those with whom you have shared your talents, have been forever enriched. For them I say thank you…for me I say “to God be all the glory!” To all my Perryton students of the past 39 years, please know, I am a most fortunate and blessed person because I have known you! Ephesians 3:20-21

TSSEC RESULTS: Good Ensemble: Daniel Tarango, Victor Sandoval,Samuel DeSantiago, Gus Hernandez. Excellent Solos: Marshal Hill, Seare Uribe, Carolina Matias, and Kenya Valenzuela. Superior Solos: Emanuel Soto, Caleb Jones, Gus Hernandez, Samuel DeSantiago, Miles Skipper, Emili Ixtan, Emily Rinker, Brisa Araujo, Aliyah Hernandez, Tiana Hill and Maddie Schickedanz. GREAT RESULTS!!

So proud of these young musicians! Attended Texas State Solo/Ensemble contest in Pflugerville in May 25. One good ensemble rating, four excellent solo ratings, and eleven superior solo ratings! Such a talented and committed group…more great things to come for Perryton Choirs! Emanuel Soto, Daniel Tarango, Victor Sandoval, Caleb Jones Gus Hernandez, Samuel DeSantiago, Miles Skipper, Marshal Hill, Seare Uribe, Emili Ixtan, Emily Rinker, Brisa Araujo, Aliyah Hernandez, Tiana Hill, Carolina Matias, and Kenya Valenzuela. The weekend is over. Family and friends have gone home. Time now to reflect on Thursday night…a humbling, total surprise!
First of all, should I be worried that my wife, Dorla and daughter, Daurie could be so sneaky for months and plan such a special night right under my nose? 🤷🏼‍♂️😬 My love for them is inexpressible! A “Thank You” isn’t enough, but Dorla and Daurie, I love you so much…words fail!
My family (some who drove over 400 miles to be here); the alumni choir of former students and current Region 1 colleagues (some who drove over 400 miles as well); the after concert reception in a packed out library; the recliner (which is really nice, by the way!); my choirs who totally rocked the concert…who could have expected all of that! I felt so honored, loved, and blessed. Perryton is an awesome, unique community. I thank my God for allowing me to teach and thrive here for 39 years. Thank you, Perryton for blessing me!! Praying continued favor on Ranger Choirs and Perryton ISD.
