Our seniors are excited for the start of the year! Several seniors started painting their parking spots on Saturday. A few months ago, I was given the incredible opportunity to join delegates from Kansas, Hawaii and Maine on a tour of our nation’s capital while representing FreeState Electric. Because our school had been fortunate enough to send three delegates for three consecutive years, I expected the trip to be memorable. What I never anticipated, however, was that it would become the best week of my life.

Cross country athletes:
The planned summer cross country conditioning at Lake Shawnee for tomorrow, Friday 7/23, is canceled due to forecasted thunderstorms. Cross-country conditioning will resume on Monday 7/27!

Cross country summer runs information:

For students entering grades 7-12 voluntary summer cross-country runs start on July 22nd at 7:00AM. These runs will last about 30 minutes. We will meet at the PLHS greenhouse on the southwest corner of the High School. These runs will take place for middle and high school students on Mondays and Wednesdays. Fridays will be for high schoolers only. Any 7-12 grader is welcome if they want to try out distance running. Questions? Email: [email protected]
