PHS Senior, Tuan, has been working on the LEGO Mindstorms Project all September and was able to not only revive discarded technology, but make it fun and educational for the 2nd and 3rd grade Girls Engineering, Math, and Science (GEMS) Program.

The program he put together was thoughtful and streamlined in which the students found success easily as they continued to play with the robots even after the lab was over. Great job, Tuan!

Today, we celebrate and thank our incredible custodial staff for all they do to keep our schools clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for our students and staff each day.

Much of their hard work happens behind the scenes, but its impact is felt throughout our entire school community.

We appreciate you today and every day! 🙌

Last week, our first graders in Mrs. Keene's class learned all about apples through investigations, experiments, observations, predictions, and an apple taste test to see which variety was the class favorite. 🔎🍎🍏

Then, yesterday, they took learning beyond the classroom with a field trip to Patterson’s Apple Orchard! 🍂🍏

Hands-on learning + a field trip + apples = a pretty great apple adventure in first grade! 🥰
