On our final day in Washington, D.C., our students visited the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial and the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial. We then spent time exploring the incredible exhibits at the National Museum of Natural History.

To top off our last day, we fueled up with a fantastic lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe before hopping on the buses to head home.

Thank you to all the students, teachers, chaperones, and families who made this trip a success. It was a truly fantastic trip filled with great learning, big laughs, and memories that will last a lifetime!

Our Perry Middle School 8th graders had an incredible, action-packed second day exploring the nation’s capital!

We started the day paying our respects at several iconic sites, including the Korean War Veterans Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, and World War II Memorial.

A deeply meaningful highlight of our day was visiting Arlington National Cemetery, where a group of our students had the distinct honor of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

We wrapped up our evening with a tour of the U.S. Capitol Building, followed by a fun, action-packed dinner and tournament at Medieval Times!

It was truly a great day filled with history, honor, and wonderful memories. Stay tuned for more updates!

Day 1 of the 8th grade Washington, D.C. trip was a huge success!

Our students had an incredible first day reflecting on history and exploring our nation's capital. Yesterday’s itinerary included meaningful visits to: Flight 93 National Memorial, National Museum of American History, 9/11 Pentagon Memorial, and the Marine Corps War Memorial (Iwo Jima)

We are so proud of how respectful, curious, and engaged our students were throughout the day!

Our Student Council is hosting a Volley for the Cure event to support a local Perry family. Our 8th grade football and volleyball teams will compete in a Volley for the Cure event on Thursday, October 15; all proceeds will benefit this Perry Family. T-shirts are on sale for $20 through Mrs. Koch in the Middle School through this Thursday, October 8th. You can pick up an order form from the main office.

A special thank you to the American Heart Association for an amazing STEM Goes Red event hosted at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland. This program was designed to engage and empower young women and girls interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) careers.

Our group of 8th-grade students was able to explore different careers involved in STEM, listen to inspiring stories, engage in small experiments, and talk about building each other up.

What an outstanding day for our Perry Middle School students!
