Hello everyone! The end of summer and the beginning of school caught up with me, but I am back and ready to plan the next Perry Random Act of Kindness. Our last RAK didn't receive any direct donations, but I'm hopeful that it brought some attention and food/toys/litter donations to our local pet rescue. Where should we spread kindness locally next?

There's only a little time left for RAK3! RAK3 Perry Random Act of Kindness will focus on the Raccoon River Pet Rescue.

The Pet Rescue always needs cat and dog food, litter, and toys for the animals. For this RAK3, we will collect contributions to paypal or venmo until Wednesday, July 21st. Please put "RAK3" in the comments. Donations of any size appreciated and 100% goes to the RAK3. We will then visit local Perry stores to purchase supplies for the Raccoon River Pet Rescue.

So far, we haven't received any donations, but I'm hoping we are bringing awareness to this local shelter and people are encouraged to donate and volunteer!

If you would prefer to donate directly to the shelter, that is also an awesome option. Hours are Mon-Fri 11:30 to 4:00 pm. If your donation is inspired by RAK3, we would love to hear about it and to have you tell them you are giving as part of RAK3.

Peek-a-boo from one of our kitty friends!

Our next Perry Random Act of Kindness RAK3 will focus on the Raccoon River Pet Rescue! This awesome pet rescue focuses on helping furry friends find forever homes. The staff and team of volunteers are so dedicated to the cats and dogs in their care.

I made a new friend at Raccoon River Pet Rescue last night! This sweetheart is so friendly, calm, and loving. He is also looking for a forever home. ♡ You can help Churro and dogs like him through our RAK3! Donate any amount to venmo or Paypal and we'll buy food and toys at local stores to help the animals at the shelter.

Yesterday, we were able to spread a Random Act of Kindness for 9 people with $45 dollars! I can't thank the individuals who donated enough. ♡ It was awesome supporting the local Farmer's Market with RAK2!

Let's plan for RAK3. Share your ideas here. I know Raccoon River Rescue has an influx of cats and dogs and always needs food and litter. I thought it would be awesome to collect contributions and buy litter and food from Perry retailers, then donate it all to the shelter. This spreads kindness in multiple ways.

Good afternoon! One more day until RAK2 at the Perry's Farmer's Market, Thursday, July 1st! Venmo just deposited $10 for joining, so I'm thrilled to add that to tomorrow's Random Act of Kindness. If you would like to contribute any amount to the RAK2, there's still time. We are PerryRAK on paypal and venmo. All contributions will go toward tomorrow's RAK.

We will be at the Farmer's Market starting at 4pm. We'll randomly choose booths and the next shopper will have part of their purchase paid for by RAK2! Please come help us support our community market and maybe you'll be lucky too.
