Pictures for senior marching band banners will be on August 17 at Sports night.

Pictures are at 6:00 PM Please arrive a few minutes early (5:45 PM) to change into marching uniforms (remember to wear a T-shirt and shorts underneath).

Payment ($40) for the banner is due at the Sports night. Band Boosters will assist those with financial need.

Uniform fittings for seniors, will be August 17 from 2 to 4pm.

Please reach out to the Band Boosters [email protected] if you can help the night of August 17th (check in for banners, etc.) or cannot make the senior uniform fitting time. For financial assistance please reach out to me. Please let me know if any questions.

Senior Drum Major, Cal Place and Junior Drum Major, Enoch Fountain attended Michigan State University’s Performing Arts Camp this week. Under the direction of former and current MSU Spartan Marching Band Drum Majors, the camp focused on developing skills in understanding the role of a drum major, conducting basics, foundations of command calling, feedback techniques, and leadership. The Ramblers are looking forward to band camp in two weeks and this Fall’s marching season!

Julian Belill, 2026 Perry High School graduate, has been named this years recipient of the prestigious Louis Armstrong Jazz Award. The award was presented at the annual band banquet bu Director of Bands, Mr. Evan Meekhoff.

Established in 1974 with the blessing of Louis Armstrong’s widow, the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award recognizes the most outstanding jazz musician at each high school, commemorating the legacy of one of America’s greatest jazz icons.

Julian’s musical journey began in fifth grade when he joined the Perry Band Program and learned to play the trombone. Throughout his time at Perry, Julian has been playing his trombone in the marching band, symphonic band, jazz band, and pep band. Julian has served as a section leader for two years, principal chair for one and a half years, and served as the band president this past year.

Julian is the son of Dustin Belill and Tasha Audia
